Falling Polar Bears: What makes for an effective PSA?
I feel like my group has the right idea toward creating an effective PSA, our biggest dilemma is making sure our audience comprehends our message, because in our PSA it's going to take a couple twists and turns to keep our audience guessing BUT we don't want them to be confused, and it's hard because we aren't planning on using dialog because we feel like it will take away from the overall message of the piece, we want people to pay attention to what our main character is going through, the humiliation, the consequences with her school, her emotion and her hurt - she trusted her boyfriend and he did this to her? We want to visually show this rather than pound it into our audience heads with guilt trip slogans like "Think before you sext" "Don't send nude photos" etc, because all high schoolers have HEARD these things, we want them to feel as if they are the main character going through these things. I don't exact changes I would like to make but, there's still some very minimal tweaking to be done with our shot ideas and such.
